About
I'm Marc — a Senior Solutions Engineer at Cloudflare based in Copenhagen. I help organisations move from legacy network security to a Zero Trust, edge-first model, and increasingly to do it with AI in the loop.
What I do
I joined Cloudflare in August 2025 after five years in the SASE/SSE space. My day-to-day spans three connected areas:
- Zero Trust architecture — Access, Gateway, WARP, Tunnel, Magic WAN. Moving customers off VPN concentrators and flat networks toward identity-aware, default-deny access.
- Application security — WAF, Bot Management, API Shield, DDoS. The half of the platform that protects everything customers expose.
- Developer platform — Workers, D1, R2, KV, Vectorize, Workers AI. The half I find most interesting right now: where security and applications meet, and where most of the next decade of platform innovation actually happens.
How I got here
I studied at DTU — Technical University of Denmark: BSc in Electrical Engineering (2010–2014) and MSc in Engineering Management (2014–2016). I started in pre-sales at Cisco in 2017, first as an Associate Systems Engineer in Amsterdam, then as a Systems Engineer in Copenhagen for a total of five and a half years. From 2023 to 2025 I was a Sales Engineer at Zscaler, deep on SSE/SASE delivery in the Nordics. Cloudflare since.
What I'm interested in right now
Bridging Zero Trust and the application layer — and the platform that makes that bridge plausible in the first place. AI-assisted development workflows. And building reference apps that show the whole platform working together rather than each product in isolation. Two of those live at /cloudflare: Orange Music and Talk.
Off the clock
I live in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. I box at Athletic Warfare — a local club that punches well above its weight — and have danced salsa for a couple of years. The rest of the week I read more than I write and tinker with whatever Cloudflare ships next.
